Moving to China Blog Presents A FREE Member’s Newsletter

As the owner of the Moving to China Blog website, I’ve been struggling with ways to advance the value of content provided to you, my readers. One option that continuously came up was the idea of a newsletter. At first I was skeptical — why provide a newsletter when I can provide all content on the website? After struggling with this question for a bit, I held off on this idea until there was a valid reason for the newsletter.
After speaking to a few companies with products / services available to those moving to or living in China, I realized that a newsletter was exactly what I needed. By providing a newsletter, I now have a method of allowing a few select companies to reach out to you. The catch is, they need to give you value. I hate spam as much as you. Trust me. What I do like, however are contests, prizes, and discounts for products and services that I actually care about. I believe this is key.
With a newsletter, I will be able to collect these contests, prizes, and discounts — and pass them on to you. On top of this, I want to provide more value. Included in the newsletter will be:
Passwords to Exclusive Content
For those of you who sign up for my newsletter, I want to give you something more. I will put together exclusive content specifically to you, my members. If you click on a link that asks for a password, it is a members-only post. Check your e-mail for the password, or go to the “members” page shown at the top of the Moving to China Blog website with the “members” password shown in all of your newsletters.

For the one or two of you that might care about how my life is turning out in China, I will provide my thoughts, opinions, and random commentary on what’s going on with me. I’ve turned down the personality on this website to the betterment of articles, but connect with me through the newsletter and I’ll share more with you. I’ll also respond to any questions asked directly to me at mike@movingtochinablog.com if you ask to be in the next newsletter. Otherwise, I’ll keep direct communication between you and me private.

This section will be for those of you who are as disorganized as me. I’ll put a password to the members section in all newsletters. Use this password to open up the members page for a list of password protected posts and passwords, current contests, discounts, and prizes.

Ohh…one more thing. Any way you can do some discounts for restaurants? Not sure how it would be done, but that’d help out. Maybe give them a call and see if they would let your readers say a password or something for a discount.
