Free Mandarin Lessons in Shanghai :: IMCPI

Posted by Mike in Languages

For those of you looking for ways to improve your Mandarin when moving to China or simply visiting, but would prefer to test out the teachers before committing large amounts of money on courses — I have a great option for you. It is run by those at IMCPI. IMCPI is currently offering 20 free lessons of Mandarin that will be tailored to your current needs. If you are just getting started, they will focus on the basics (hello, how are you, goodbye, how much?). If you are more advanced, they will focus on advanced material, HSK test preparation, or anything you can think of. All of the teachers or need to Chinese speakers so you don’t have to worry about being too advanced for them.

The way it works is you simply show up at the office and make an appointment for your first class. From there, a teacher for your first class will be assigned to you and you will receive a text message the day before your lesson to confirm your appointment. Each lesson is held in a room located in the IMCPI office. Once you complete your first class you will schedule your next class. You will do this for 20 lessons (assuming you continue for the full 20 lessons) and then you will tell them which of the 20 teachers you would like to continue learning from.
